HOMECLUB
It is a socio-educational project that aims to combat the social vulnerability of young people in foster care, using sports as a tool for inclusion and psychosocial development. More than promoting physical activity, HomeClub creates spaces for belonging, active participation, and learning, where young people develop socio-emotional skills essential for their autonomy, strengthen support networks, and build more sustainable paths for the future.

THE PROBLEM
Only 16.3% of young people who leave the care system are able to transition to an independent life.
Prevalence of mental disorders: Many young people in foster care face high rates of anxiety, depression, and emotional difficulties arising from vulnerable situations, which compromise their well-being and healthy development.
Reduced social and professional network: the absence of a solid support network, both personal and professional, weakens the transition to adulthood and increases the risk of social exclusion after leaving institutions.
Low qualification levels: these young people have, on average, lower academic success and few opportunities for professional qualifications, which severely limits their prospects for employability and future independence.

THE ANSWER
HomeClub offers an innovative solution that combines sports, pedagogy, and active youth participation to promote social inclusion and comprehensive development. Through a multidisciplinary team and a co-teaching methodology, we create clubs within foster care institutions, where girls and boys become protagonists of their own journeys.
Activities take place in a regular and structured manner, combining:
-
Club Assemblies: participatory spaces where young people define rules, choose activities and make decisions together, developing communication, negotiation and citizenship skills.
-
Sports Activities: football (soccer), volleyball, running, and other sports sessions that promote health, teamwork, resilience, and emotional management in a safe and motivating environment.
-
Pedagogical Activities: reflection and social learning dynamics integrated into training, which help develop practical and socio-emotional skills essential for autonomy.
